The Turkish military authorities arrested three Slav milkmen in November on a charge of killing 15,.Turkish soldiers and violating Moslem women. There was overwhelming evidence that the accused>had never left Constantinople during the war.
The Servian Minister applied for the release of the men, and was assured that they would be immediately liberated. 'Irritated at the delay, he roiterak ed his request to the Porte, and asked f ! that the men should be officially liberated; ... . . ' " t
It was then discovered that the prisoners had been shot.
