THE OWNERS' INTENTIONS
JDTJNEDIN, December 16. It is understood that the coal minemanagers intend to take steps to open early in January those mines which a have been closed during tho past few weeks, as-tho result of tho strike) and ■ that only those men who are prepared •. to work under an industrial agreement ,'■ or an Arbitration Court award will be ■ employed. Owners are, it is said, fully determined to close the mines for a considerable tinie unless miners desirous • of securing employment are prepared to' accept- the conditions stipulated.
