WOMAN FOUND IN THE RIVER.
NAPIER, November 25. : k The body of the woman found in the. river on Sunday has been identified as that of Mrs Annie .Roberts., a widow of private means, and formerly a resident of. Wanganui. She left a note at the 'house she had been staying at stating . that she had gone to .visit friends m the country for a week.
CHBISTCHUItCH. November 20. Annie Elizabeth Clark, g widow, aeed 52 .years who had been living with her married'son, Walter Charles Clark of 20 Princess Street, Lower Riccarton, died suddenly yesterday. She appeared to have been m good liealth lately, and was sitting at-dinner at one o'clock, when she suddenly tell forward and expired in a few minutes. Dr Thomas, jun., was called, and pronounced life extinct. An inquest was held by the Coroner, Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., last evening, when the Coroner said he was satisfied as to the cause of death and returned a verdict that deceased died from heart disease.
