The pearl necklace case" has oou■cluded. Lockett and G Hazard were sentenced to seven years' imprisonment, Silverman to five years, and Gutwirth to 18 months. Lockett and Gutwirth were recommended to bi> reported. The jury found that the. necklace was stolen in London.

Sir John Fuller has resigned the Governorship of Victoria, owing to health and family reasons.
