The Assembly approved of a new clause in the Criminal Code Bill providing that any person: or corporation prohibiting, under threat of. dismissal the -marriage of any employee over 21 years of .age, shall,.be'liable ton a fine of l£soo or three months' imprisonment.
The clause is the outcome* of evidence given at the Avbitratian Court that the Western Australian. Bank prohibits the marriage. o.f. cJer&A in its employ who, are receivings under £200 per annum..
