SOLTANO'S DF.RBY RUNNING.
WELLINGTON, October 15. The passengers by the Moeraki, which arrived to-day from Sydney, included Messrs E. J. Watt, G. Ctirrie, S. Luttrell, J. Hannah, R. J. Mason, F. Davis and J. Williamson, and the jockeys A. Oliver and F. D. Jones.
It is stated that there is no truth in the cabled statement that Oliver lost bis gear when riding Soltano in the A.J.O. Derby. Soltano landed in Wellington in good condition.
