The only child of Mr and. Mrs Andrew Carnegie is to make her debut next year (says a chronicler of Society news). She is an heiress to an almost incredible fortune; she is kind-hearted, quite a little beauty in a way, and very natural and unspoiled. In the neighbourhood of Skibo Castle, a few miles from-'Dunrobin, she is : .a great favourite, for she has been always encouraged to be about among the humbler people and to do them' kindnesses. Her childhood and early girlhood have been rather lonely, but she has revelled in the lovely Scottish surroundings. Her father is said to desire nothing greater for her husband than an honest man and a good fellow. He will probably find plenty of suitors with these qualifications. However, (says the "Lady's Pictorial.), there is truth in what some of the shrewd High-*----landers say: " Ye'd need to be oot reicht airley to get the better o' oor Androo!" . • ;
