The monthly meeting of the' Ashburton Loyal Orange Lodge was held in the Orange Hall last evening, 45 members being present. After the usual business was attended to, an initiation ceremony was conducted, when six members' were initiated. Two names were proposed for membership. The election of officers for tlie ensuing year resulted in the principal officers being re-elected, some of the minor offices only changing: hands. A committee was set ux> to make all arrangements i'or the sth of November celebration, and to advertise the arrangements in the local paper (absent members please note). The meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.'
