METHVEN CLUB

About 80 persons were present at the opening day of the Methven Tennis Club and Bowling Club, on Wednesday afternoon. Mr Wm. Morgan, President' of the''Tennis Club, in' a neat speech, declared the courts open. Sidesl were picked by the president and club captain, the former team ■winning by 46 games to 40. Mrs Morgan, the president's wife, entertained all present to afternoon tea, which was highly appreciated. A very pleasant afternoon's enjoyment ended at 8 p.m.
