WANOANUI. (Per Press Association.)" WANGANUI, November 13. The Agricultural arid Pastoral Association's annual show opened, to-day in fine weather, there being a satisfactory attendance of the public. All the classes were well filled, and as some of the leading breeders in the Dominion were represented the display was of a high standard. Horses, dairy cattle, fat stock and dogs were specially; strong features, both in numbers and quality. In cattle, Herefords, .there was very keen competition between Mr G. F. Moore (Wanganui) and Mr E. Short (Feilding), between whom the honours were fairly evenly distributed, though Mr Short carried off both championships in Shorthorns. Mr G. A. Turner (Eltham) won the championship for the best bull, and Mr E. A. Campbell (Wanganui) that for the best cow. In Polled Angus, Mr C. G. Russell (Wanganui) won tho champion bull, and Mr F. Moore (Wanganui) the champion cow. In. Ayrshires Mr J. Donald (Wanganui) owned the champion bull, and Mr C. Karster (Waikanae) the champion cow. In Holsteins Mr J.Donald (Wanganui) won both championships.
