ASSAILANT'S MOTIVES. ' ' DOUBTS OF HIS SANITY. (Per Press Association —Copyright.) NEW YORK, November 12. At his trial at Milwaukee, Schranck, who shot Mr Roosevelt, pleaded guilty. A commission was appointed to examine him as to his sanity. (Received November 13, 1.40 p.m.) Sch'rank, in his statement,. said ho shot Mr Roosevelt because hie was a menace to the country.. He should not have a third term; and he shot him as a warning to others like-minded. -■ He added—" I shot Theodore Roosevelt to kill him. I think all men trying to keep themselves in office should bo killed before they become dangerous."
