THE WEATHER.
Since yesterday morning the weather has shown a tendency to improve, and. no rain has fallen. There were some clouds about to-day, but the sun was shining, and the southerly winds had moderated. There was .little warmth in the atmosphere, though the wind, which had died down to a stiff breeze, had lost its keenness. Mr Bates's forecast to-day is ,as follows: —The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, biit.. northerly winds prevailing. Weather probably cool and changeable. Weather clouding over; rain later. Barometer falling after about 10 hours.
