..A meeting of the Council of the Clydesdale Horse Society was held m the Board Room of the Otago A. and P. Society on Thursday evening.. The following were present:—Mr J. A. The following were appointed JUiiting Committee, with pov/er to add to their number: For the North IslandMessrs J. W. Harding, Alex Hunter, and Ernest Short; for the South Island—Messrs J. D. Blair were appointed a C*enijral Purposes Committee (finance, etc), It was agreed to rent- an office for the secretary m the Otago A. and P. Society's Buildings, Crawford .Dunedin, _: Mr Peter Barr, of Messrs Barr, Lmvj, and Co., waa appointed auditor to the society. Mr Ernest Short moved that it be a recoramendation to entrants that any stallion or mare up to six years old may be provisionally certified by a brorermnent veterinary surgeon to be tree from hereditary unsoinidness; entries accompanied 1 by such certificate would have the association's stamp affixed. This was seconded by. Mr J. "W. These were, accepted with thanks. • - . It was moved by Mr John Shearer, seconded by Mr Geo. C. Thomson, and: tmannnousiy carried, that breeders who havo thoir-- stock resristered m f the. Draught Horse Stud Book may have that 'stock, if approved by the Editing Committee, transferred to volume 1. of this society's Stud Book at hall rates.
