Reuter s correspondent at Pekin states that there are growing indications that Tang-shao-yi is endeavouring to assume and practice a dictatorship, relegating Yuan-shi-kai to the background. Tang-shao-yi demands unlimited funds with only nominal supervision. ■ .-■ _ /.,.-. Shen-yuan, a fanatical Kansu leader, is bellicose. The native press declares : that he has beheaded his son for professing/republicanism.
