CANADA AND THE BISLEY MEETING.

OTTAWA, February 2L Mr Hughes, Minister of Militia, announces that no Canadian team will be sent to the Bisley meeting in ,1912, unless the National Rifle Association changes the rules regarding the Ross rifle. Canadian riflemen have been, he says, subjected to various annoyances in the Old Country since the Ross rifle attained its present high state of efficiency. (Received February 29, 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, February 28. Lord Cheylesmore, interviewed regarding angry Canadian criticisms, said it was absurd to suggest that the new sighting regulations at Bisley were designed to handicap Canadians. The latter has been given an extension of time to alter the sights.
