INCREASE IN FARES AND FREIGHTS.
SYDNEY, January 11. The coastal steam ship owners announce that, owing to the excessive demands made by the labour unions, they have decided to increase the fares and freights. In the event of further demands by the men being granted, additional increases will be necessary.
