UNSUCCESSFUL FRENCH STRIKE.
CONFLICT WITH POLICE,
PARIS, January 11. The syndicate of unions declared an unsuccessful twenty-four •, hours' strike as a protest against the trial of three members for inciting soldiers to desert. Those participating in the demonstrations dispersed after a conflict with the police. There were several arrests. Six of the police were seriously injured.
