At the breaking-up ceremony of the Caversham School on Wednesday' the chairman of the committee (Mr A. E. Kennard) made reference to what: he termed the extraordinary resolution of the Education Board requiring children to attend the school in the district in which they reside. His committee had taken very strong exception ib the decision of the Board in:this ■>• atter, and intended to enter its emphatic protest against it. If the proposal were put into operation, the Cavsvsham School would lose from 80 to 100 pupils, and the Forbury School o Jarge number also. He thought the Education Board had been somewhat hasty in the matter, and had not considered what the effect of the resolution v/ould be.
