HARRIERS.

A well-attended meeting of the Ashburton Harriers' Club was held on .Sriday 3 evening, when' Mr 0. Nottingham presided over a good attendance. Among other business transacted, the programme for the shield events was drawn up, and the rules in connection with same revised. Messrs C. White, C. Nottingham, and E» Coker were appointed a deputation to ait on the Domain Board at their .meeting on Monday evening next regarding the assessment fixed for the Club for the present season. Members were o opinion that the assessment was-much'too high or the privileges asked. Provided this matter could'be amicably arranged, members anticipated a successful season.
