HORSE FAIR.

The Ashburton branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Go-operative Association conducted a successful horsefair yesterday at its West Street mart.. T;i«iv wa,s a good attendance of farmers and. dealers, and over 40 mixed classes of horwes were offered. The demaiid for young and sound horses was fairly keen, and prices for these fiorts were we'll up to those ruling of late. A fairly good clearance of the •entry was made at the following prices: —
