MAORI TEAM v. TARANAKI.

STRATFORD, August 10. The football match, Maoris v. Taranaki, played here, resulted in a win for Taranaki by seventeen points to sixteen points. The Maoris were unfortunate to lose the game, it .being won on the tick of time by a penalty goal kicked by Stohr. At the end of the first spell the score was: —Taranaki 14, Maoris 3. The Maoris had" the best of the second spell, and were leading right up to the last moment.
