GOVERNMENT AND POTATOES.
PERTH, August 9.
The Government experiment of importing potatoes and peeling them in bond, with a view to preventing the spread of blight, resulted in a reduction of the. retail price from 4|d to 2sd per lb. Peeling depots have been established in country :towns.
