LONDON, May 22. The wool sales are animated, at late rates. Operators from the United States are buying some of- the best medium crossbreds. Share quotations: Waihi, 62s 6d and 655. Mr Licht estimates that the production of sugar beet has increased by 796,000 tons, and that the increase for the year will be 1,989,000 tons. BERLIN, May 22. 1 The German Potash Syndicate and American buyers have signed a settlement to a long-standing dispute which I arose out of the tariff.
