SEAMEN'S GRIEVANCES.
"Not a Strike," but a Holiday. LONDON, May 20. As a protest against the refusal of the Shipping Federation to admit that seamen have any grievances requiring present discussion, the National Seamen's Union is arranging holiday camps, lasting a fortnight and starting on May 20. It is expected that seven thousand seamen at various ports will join the camps. A seamen's official denied that the movement was a strike, although it might develop into one at any moment.
