WELLINGTON, May 22. .The Industrial Association's Exhibition opens here .on Wednesday, its object being to introduce goods" made in New Zealand to the notice of the consuming public. There will be a wonderful display and range of articles, . quite equal, and in some respects . superior, to. similar goods imported." The Exhibition' lias a floor space of nearly 80,000 square feet, as compared ■ with 42,000 at the Exhibition of 1896. A sports stadium will bo a strong feature, providing an area for competitors of 240 feet by 88 feet, and seating over a thousand spectators. Boxing, tennis, bowling, athletic and other displays are announced. The theatro holds over - 1 800 of an audience, and is already leased to English entertainers. There will be an Art Gallery, with a fine collection of pictures. The music oa the opening day will bo provided by a strong male choir, Mr Robert Parker directing. Lectures on nursing, cooking and other subjects will be delivered in connection with the exhibits. Space is much over-applied for, and there is not sufficient for all the intending exhibitors.
