CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER.

AUCKLAND, February 3.

A shooting affair occurred at Wharepuhanga, Kihikihi, on Thursday, resulting in George Washington Long being charged at Te Awamuta to-day with attempting to murder Thomas Higginson Bond, a neighbour of the accused. Bond was shot in the face, and though not out of danger, he is progressing favourably. The accused was remanded till February 10.
