NEW PLYMOUTH, March 7.

Regarding Mr Clement Wragge's discovery m the Bay of Islands, Mr Percy Smith says that there are stones betweon Whangaroa and the Bay of Islands regarding which the natives have traditions dating to tho time of Captain Cook. A year or two ago tho Government Geologist had them examined, and found them to be natural decayed basaltio columns. Possibly these are what Mr Wragge has found.
