REGISTRATION OF LETTERS.

A machine for the automatic registration of letters is about to be tried m the Berlin post offices.- One of its sides faces the post office employee, while the other faces the sender of the letter. All the sender has to do is to push the letter through the slit and turn the handle. The machine does the rest. It places the letter m position, stamps it, and prints off the receipt, which it ; throws out to the sender.
