DIVISION OF OPINION.
Received December 15, 11. a.m. LONDON. December 14. , > The. ballot of the Northumberland miners resulted in 13,374 for, and 11,697 against, the proposal to compel Messrs fiurt and Penwick to sign the Labour party's, constitution. The voto proves the existence, of a L-harp division in opinion. Lord Cromer, Lord George. Hamilton and others declare, on behalf of the % Unionist Freetrade Club, that it is undesirable to recommend members how to vote: but they should inform the candidate for whom they arc \roting that they are strongly opposed to Protection and Homo Rule.
