PLUNKET NURSES.

Per Press Association

WELLINGTON, December .13. A deputation from the Plunket Nurses' Association waited on the Premier to-day, regarding the Association's work in centres. It was stated that ench Plunket nurse cost £200 a year, and it was suggested that the grant should be at the rate of £50 for each nurse. Sir Joseph Ward said there was £50 on the Estimates for the Karatani Home for babies in Dunedin, where Plunket nurses are trained, but he would give the deputation's Euggestion full consideration. He presumed the management would see that the country was looked after as well as the towns.
