AUCKLAND, October 1. The adjourned inquest into the circumstances of the death of the infant child of Olive Yates, an unmarried girl of about eighteen years of age, living with her parents at ! Brookby, near Manurewa, was concluded to-day. After an hour's consideration the jury returned the following verdict : The child met its death, partly through suf-focation-and partly by exposure by the mother, but whether or not through want of experience the jury is not m a position to determine." . The jury were unanimous in the opinion that the child had been bom alive. Immediately afterwards an information was sworn, charging tho girt xates with murder. ___
