At Stoke D'Abernon Church, Surrey, has been found the larger portion of a Norman piscina, probably used previous to" 1210, some Saxon painting, and the top of a censer, believed to date back to A.D. 1000.

Tuberculosis bacilli are destroyed in three days, diphtheria bacilli in five hours, and typhoid bacilli in eight iours. .
At Chaffer's mine, Boulder (West Australia), Ambrose Marshall Bray, employed as platman, was killed at the 100-foot level. Owing to the cage having stopped working, the shift boss visited the level, and found Bray lying, lifeless, under the cage. Deceased had intended to be married during the week .
