TRAMWAY BOARD ELECTION.
CHRISTCHURCH, June 25. Interest in the election of members was fairly keen, all the candidates, especially in the central area, being fairly well known in local politics. The personnel of the new Board is as follows: Messrs W. Iteece, A. W. Beaven, G. T. Booth, G. Payling, H. Pearce, W. Hill, J. A. Flesher, S. A. Staples and D. Sykes. Messrs Staples and Sykes were returned unopposed for Riccarton-Sockburn and SpreydonHalswell respectively.
