A block of land in the heart:of the city, at the junction of Willis j Street and Manners Street, known *as the Heath estate, offered to the City Council for street widening purposes'lately, lias been purchased by a syndicate, which is willing to take 4§ per cent.debentures at twenty years. According to the scheme suggested the Council could widen both Willis Street and Manners Street, and; carry , 'Victoria Street through into Manners 'Street.
