ASHBURTON POULTRY SOCIETY.

A; meeting of the Ashburton Poultry Society was held on Monday evening, when there was a good attendance of members,: Mr George Bundy being m the chair. . A letter was received from the Central Otago Poultry Club offering to sell its poultry pens at.4s 6d each, on trucks.—lt was decided to hold the letter over till next meeting. ; ! Messrs G W Aldridge and f H Amos were appointed the society's delegates to. the half-yearly meeting: of the 1 South Island New Zealand Poultry Association, to be held at Ashburton on Friday next, at 10 a.m. It was decided to hold the annual social and supper m the Oddfellows' Hall on Friday evening, commencing at 9130 p.m., and Mr A. O. Elliott's tender for catering .was accepted. Other . minor matters having been arranged, the meeting adjourned.
