HOCKEY.
A hockey match was played m the Domain this afternoon between teams representing the Ashburton Ladies Club and the Huia Ladies' Club, Christchurch. The match was even throughout, and both teams gave « first-class exhibition of the game The match ended m a draw neither team registering a score. Mr R. Meechan acted as referee, and afternoon tea, provided by the home team, was served on the crround after the match.
