A sodden wicket delayed the continuance of play till the afternoon, and the wicket was very difficult when play was resumed. The ninth wicket fell for 128, but a serviceable partnership .between Hartigan and Whitty raised the score to 182 before Whitty was bowJed. Hartigan made 45 (not out). The innings lasted 275 minutes. In their second innings Leicester lost their first wicket for 2 runs. The game was very slow. The third wicket fell for 24. Crawford and Coe initiated a careful partnership, and raised the total to .75 before the fourth wicket fell. With Crawford dismissed ten runs later, tho innings was declared closed.
