REV. JOHN KINROSS.

SYDNEY, October 17. The Rev. J. Kinross, D.D., Professor of English at St. Andrew's College, and an ex-moderator of the Presbyterian Assembly, is dead, aged seventy-five. [The Rev. John Kinross was born at Ardoch Scotland, in 1833,. and arrived in Australia in 1858. He was Principal of St. Andrew's College, Sydney, from 1875 to 1900. In 1900 he became Professor of English Language and Literature;(in relation to religion) and of Apologetics and Christian Ethics.]

TOKIO, October 18. General Nodza, of Russo-Japanese war fame, is dead.
