THE HUMAN TANGLE,

MELBOURNE, July 16. A tragedy is reported from Toorak. A girl named Walkingham was found dead; and a youth named Groves wa6 found in a dying condition in an adjoining paddock, and succumbed in a I hospital. An investigation showed that the deaths were caused by strychnine poisoning. A quantity of chocalate creams with strychnine crystals adherine; and a bottle supposed to contain poison were discovered m Groves s pocket. The victims were sweathearts. The night before the tragedy, when going to meet Groves, Migs Walkingham told a companion that Groves was very iealous and 'had repeatedly threatened to kill himself and her. She did not care for him, but intended to marry him for the sake of a home.
