CUSTOMS OFFICERS.
WELLINGTON, December 2. The following changes in the Customs Department have been decider! on : Mr R. Carter, Collector "at Ohristehureh, to be Collector at Wellington, vice Mr D. Johnston, who is retiring ; Mr A. Elliott, Collector at Wanganui, to be Collector at Christehureh ; Mr W. F. Dickey, first clerk at Auckland, to be Collector at Wanganui ; Mr Sibbald, Collector at Napier, to be Collector at Dunedin; vice Mr Chamberlain, who is retiring ; Mr Nixon, Collector at Timaru, to bo Collector nt Napier ; Mr C. Colebrook, landing surveyor at Wellington, to be Collector at Timaru ; Mr A B. Reynolds, landing waiter at Auckland, to be first clerk at that port; Mr W. Rose, landing waiter at Wellington, to be landing surveyor there ; Messrs R.^Walter and A. Patrick, longroom clerks, of Wellington, to be landing waiters there ; Mr J. P. Ridings, tide surveyor at Dunedin.'to be Collector at Invercargill, vice Mr McDowell, who is retiring.
