TROUBLE IN BRAZIL.

LONDON, December 2

The Daily Mail's Rio de Janeiro correspondent says that an attempt to overthrow the Government in the State of Minas Geraes, under the leadership of Magali, a native at Rio Grande do Sul, aided by British, Canadian, and American filibusterers, failed after a premature skirmish in the State of Bahia, wherein Philip Davies, a retired British major, was killed, Lieutenant George Gordan wounded and all were captured. £100,000 had been raised in London and New York, and ther filibusterers were landed separately as traders.
