EITHAM, August 10. The Borough Council has received an acre of land, valued"'at £3000, for the extension of Bridge street, through the site of the late fire, to Bedford street, and to - contribute £300 towards the cost of formation and metalling, provided the Council laid down asphalt tli is summer. The Council decided to incur the estimated .. expenditure (£900). It is proposed to raise £2000 by way of speciaf loan for this and other works.
