WELLINGTON, Aug. 9. ■ Tables published in tho Gazette give the annual rainfall at a number of centres for a long series of years, from which it appears that the average fall sit Auckland over forty-three years is 43in ; Wellington, 50in ; Canterbury, 2oin ; Dunedin, 38in ; Wangamii, 42 years, 37in ; Napier, 29 years, 37in ; Taranaki, 34 years, GOin ; Nelson, 41 years, 47in ; Greymouth, 15 years, 104 in ; Hokitika, 28 years, 115 in ; Invercargill, 30 years, 45in.
