Lord Alverstonc remarked that there was a real necessity for the measure. The Merchant Shipping with Amendment Bill has passed the House of Lords. (Received August 10, 8.43 a.m.) 1 In the House of Lords, the Butter Bill passed through committee, with a few minor amendments. The Small Landholders (Scotland) Bill passed through committee. The measure was closured after the twentyfirst clause.. The House of Lords has passed the Finance Bill.
