NELSON PLUMBERS' AWARD.

NELSON, July 31. The Arbitration Court award in the Nelson plumbers' dispute is available to-day. The men asked for Is 4§d an hour for competent hands, and Is 3d for others. The Court awarded Is 3d and Is Id respectively. The hours are fixed ■at forty-four per week, with forty-seven oh ah emergency ; overtime to be time and a quarter for the first two hours, time and a half to midnight, and double from midnight to 8 a.m. Preference is' to be given to Unionists. The award applies over a 'radius of twenty-two miles from Nelson post office. The award comes into effect, to-morrow, and is for a term of three years.
