Ashbarton County Council, ~V[OT[CE is hereby given that at a .131 special meeting held on the 4th day of January, 1907, the above Council, acting in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by " The Counties' Aor, 1886," and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, passed a resolution repealing the By-Laws for regulating traction engine traffic upon the roado vritiim the Counfcy of Ashbuttoa made by it on the 6th July, 1388, and now in foroe ; an 4in substitution for the said By-Laws and supplementary thereto, making By-Laws fo? regulating the times wliep, aad the conditions on whicb fcraofcion engines may be allowed to pass along the roads within the said County the width of the tires of wheeia which shall be used by certain vehicles within the said County, aad also the manner in which traction engines may be taken over bridges, The said By-Lawe, if made, will apply to the whole of the County of Aehburton; but will not operate as a repeal of or otherwise effect any of the By-Laws made by the said Council for regulating the traffic upon any of the bridges within the said County and undo? the control of the Council. And notice is further given that the said resolution will be submitted for confirmation as a special order at a special meeting of the Council to be held at the Council's Chamber, Baring Square, Ashburton, on the 11th day of February, 1907, at 11 a.m. A copy of the proposed By-Laws is deposited at the office of the Council, Bering Square, and will be open to the inspection of the public dming office hours up to the llth day of February.
