WATER AND DRAINAGE.
TO THE EDITOR,
Sib,—l must congratulate you on your article published in the Guardian on Janary 24th, in which you point out, most sensibly and clearly, how necessary it is for the general benefit of our town to have a drainage and high-pressure water supplyYour article deals logically with the matter from all point?, so it, is unnecessary for me to go into detail. I trust you will not let this important matter rest, but again w»ke up those flaepy Councillors to do their d»ty, who at least should deal with this question. I verily believe the present Councillors would not a.ove a finger towards the betterment of our town, except they are told to do so. What a pity it is we have not such men as Mr D. Thomas, Mr Hugo Friedlander, and other progressive men in our Counoil. Such necessary work as the* above would be tackled by them in some way, Ratepayer.
