(By Telephone—Special to Qdabdiaw.) A unall fire br< ke out on the Longbeacb estate yesterday at about 1 o'clock. A coat with some matches in one of the pockets had been left lying on the ground in one of the fieldp, and it is supposed that one of the horses tramped on the coat, thus igniting the matoheß, whioh set the coat ablaze. The surrounding stubblo aoon caught, and provided means for the flames to reach the neighbouring gorse fence. The whole of this fence, right round the field waa burnt, the barley and wheat crops on the other Bide of it being damaged only slightly. The whole of the harvesters working in the vicinity were called out and succeeded in checking the progress of the fire, though not before it bad consumed two binders.
