TO THE EDITOR. Sib, —Permit me to remind my fellow citizens that the orchard thief is paying his anraal visit, and persuing hia industry with some dexterity. On Tuesday night T had two apple trees heavily laden with f'ru'r, next Koming they were empty. I mentioned the matter to g, friend, who remarked, with an appreciative smile, that his apricot tree was cleaned out last'nigh*. ■Uso, it reminded him that a friend had mentioned that his garden had baen oleanpd right up on Monday The children have •us-ge=ted that it is Santa Clans returning north after finishing his Christ mas del i^ppy and fepling lonely in bis empty waggon, it ha° occurred to him to take a little fruit back to his Arctic homo; Infc us hope it is so, Apple Fie. 1
