Exhibition Band Contest.

United Press Association—Per Electrio Telegraph Chbistchouch, Jan 7 For the Exhibition Band Contest to be held from February 11 to February 16, the judge of the test and own choice selecfcioae, and of the mußic of the quickstep contest, will be Lieut. W. G. Bentley, of Sydney, a British army bandmaster with high credentials. For the selection and quipkstep competitions, 37 bands have entered, including the Newcastle city band (New South Wales) ar d Cole's Melbourne band. Thirty-three bands have entered for the solo, quartet, and trombone competitions.
